Director of Economic Advocacy

Lucas Yang serves as the Director of Economic Advocacy at GGI and is a student at Centennial High School in Ellicott City, Maryland. As a nationally-ranked debater, researching a diverse array of topics and issues has fostered his passion for economics and public policy. In addition, he has been actively involved in his school community as the Founder & President of LEFA (Leaders of Economics & Finance in America), President of Speech & Debate, Empire Mock Trial Captain, Economics Team Captain, Math Journal Co-Editor-in-Chief, and Model Congress Co-President. Furthermore, he has graduated from the International Leadership Foundation's Youth Leadership Academy and served as a Research Fellow at the International Socioeconomics Laboratory conducting socioeconomics research in NYC. He looks forward to continuing his work with GGI to advocate for policy solutions!
