Co-Director of Public Health Policy

Ethan Johanson is a first-year student at Georgetown University where he plans to study Government. He writes for On the Record, a student-run online publication for GU Politics, Georgetown’s political club, and is a member of Georgetown University College Democrats. At Jesuit High School in Portland, OR, where Ethan graduated from high school, he participated in his school’s Border-Solidarity Club, attended the Ignatian Family Teach-In in Washington D.C., and led a local social justice teach-in. In his hometown of Portland, he also interned at one of Senator Ron Wyden’s state offices and currently serves as a member of his parish’s Peace and Justice Committee. Before becoming the Co-Director of Public Health Policy at GGI, he served as a policy fellow on the Public Health team. Outside his academic and political involvements, Ethan enjoys playing basketball and piano. He looks forward to helping GGI formulate effective and equitable policy in the sphere of public health.
